Big Battles with Big Armies

In 1274 B.C.  in the land of Syria during the rein of Ramses II the armies of Egypt and the Hittites fought over the vast land of Egypt. The 2 empires had always been wary of each other and now the time was right to strike. Wait stop..... I'm doing it again, trying to impersonate the Lord of the Rings  narrator. (sigh) Anyway the two armies equally matched each other. Egypt had a force of 18- some really big number in the thousands, and a little bitty army of 2,000 chariots. The Hittites had an even smaller force of 37,000 infantrymen and 2,500 chariots. The whole war had the violence of a sandbox war. ( JK LOL) Eventually an uneasy treaty was created in 1259 B.C. during the rein of king Hattusislis.
